Marine Loading Arm Introduction

Marine loading arm is mainly composed of pipeline, pipe fittings, swivel joints, balancing device, supporting structure and control system.

Structure features:

•Swivel joints are the key parts. The swivel joints use alloy steel and stainless steel material and double entry groove to withstand heavy radial, axial and torque load, and the rotation is flexible.

• The seal structure is unique. The seal use wear resistance, anti-corrosion, reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material, with stainless steel frame embedded. The sealing surface is polishing treated, and the sealing performance is superior.

•During loading / unloading process, the loading arm can move with the vessel in normal range,

•A variety of accessories be used to realize environmental protection and safety operation.

• The detachable swivel joints make it easy to maintain and replace of the seal ring without the use of lifting appliance.

•Pipe material: carbon steel, stainless steel, low temperature steel, PTFE, plastic, glass fiber reinforced plastic.

• High quality surface treatment and coating can improve weather fastness.

Basic parameters

Working pressure: 0.6, 1.0, 1.6, 2.5, 4.0 Mpa;

Working temperature: -196—250;

Pipeline size: 4”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 14”, 16”, 20”, 24”, 28”.

The design of the marine loading arm / Land loading arm varies from client’s requirements and environment. So the user need to fill the “design datasheet”, which include: terminal tidal range, ship's tonnage, liquid handled, pipeline size, pressure rating, environmental parameters (the wind load, temperature, earthquake loads), etc.

Unless otherwise required by user, the design environment parameters of DMCO marine loading arm are as follows:

Design wind speed: static (stowed) state: ≤55M/S

• Design wind speed: ≤ 16 M/S

• Earthquake resistance coefficient: 0.3 G
